Sewell Group to take part in the Hull 10k

The Hull 10K is back for 2023 and we’ve got members from across a number of our business units taking part in this year’s race.

Our Group team of nearly 50 people will be joining 1000’s of runners as they pound through the streets of Hull. They’ll pass numerous iconic locations such at The Deep, Victoria Park and Hull Minster on their journey.

Those taking part are coming together from many different areas of our business.We have a number of people from our consultancy side at Shared Agenda, Sewell Construction and Sewell FM, along with people from our central Professional Services Team and also the retail side of our busines, Sewell on the go. They’re hoping to raise as much money as possible for two life-saving charities based here in Yorkshire:

Yorkshire Cancer Research, a charity that fund vital cancer research to save lives in Yorkshire. You can donate to this charity here.

Yorkshire Air Ambulance, a rapid response air emergency service serving a population of approximately 5 million people across 4 million acres. You can donate here. 

Hannah Tillison, a keen runner from our Professional Services Team says:

“People from different business units regularly come together to support fundraising efforts – it’s a chance to do some exercise, to meet people across the Group, and, if it means we’re also raising money for charities that save lives and support families, then it’s win-win!”

This event isn’t the only thing the Group are currently training for. Our teams at Community Ventures are lacing up their hiking boots in preperation to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks at the end of July too.

The Hull 10k is held on the same day as the popular Hull Half Marathon, creating a festival of running that’s guaranteed to bring together thousands of runners and a fantastic atmosphere to the City Centre. Even if you’re not a runner, the atmosphere is promised to be fanstastic and with the City Centre busy with runners, spectators and supporters throughout the day.
