I&G celebrate five years as part of Sewell Group

West Yorkshire based construction company Illingworth & Gregory (I&G) is celebrating five years as part of the Sewell Group, having joined the collective of built environment companies in 2017 in a move to generate new opportunities across the region.

The company, founded in 1972, works across the North of England and is part of the Sewell Estates arm of the Group which delivers advisory services, construction, facilities management, and investment partnerships for public and private sector customers.

I&G Managing Director, Christopher Carline said;

“I&G works across Yorkshire and Lancashire with an extremely strong and valued customer base, who have worked collaboratively with our team over the past 30 years and been a huge part of our growth journey.

“Our business strength comes from within and from our highly motivated, caring team of professionals who always go the extra mile in providing a friendly, approachable service.

“We’re extremely proud to be celebrating 50 years in business this year, and with the strongest turnover in the history of the company, we’re delighted to also be marking the significant five-year milestone as part of the Sewell Group within the same year.

“Our thirst to leave a positive social impact in all that we do is embedded in all Sewell businesses and I&G have gone to great lengths to have an extra special year this year, to help give back to the communities we serve.  Alongside several other initiatives, the team have raised over £30k for The Kirkwood a hospice in Huddersfield which is very close to our hearts.

“Being part of a larger group of companies has reinforced our position as a world class organisation delivering the same to our customers, and in turn I&G have contributed positively to the Sewell Group with many successful framework appointments and a portfolio of projects that spans the North of England.

“We are very much looking forward to the next five years and beyond and thank the whole of our team for their continued efforts and consistency in delivery.”

Sewell Estates Managing Director, Jo Barnes added;

“We invested in I&G in 2017 because of our shared values, their long-standing, great reputation with customers, a fantastic team and family orientated culture; we could see that they would be a great match for us.

“At Sewell we obsess on looking after our people, so that they can look after our customers equally well.  We are so proud of the talented team we have at I&G; their positivity shines through in all that they do, and they are continually striving to improve their service for our customers.

“The last five years have passed in a flash, and I can’t wait to see what the team achieve in their next five!”
