‘World class’ recognition as part of Sewell Group
I&G, as part of Yorkshire-based Sewell Group, has maintained its 3-Star accreditation in the UK Best Companies survey, which sees it classified as a ‘World Class’ company to work for.
This is the group’s ninth Best Companies accreditation, which recognises the highest standard of workplace engagement and is the highest score a company can get.
72% of staff completed the survey this year, with results showing their strongest engagement score in 10 years.
Best Companies is the number one specialist for workplace and employee engagement in the UK, and this year, the survey was completed by a record number of Group wide staff.
Head of People, Becky Oughtibridge said:
“We’re proud to be part of the collection of businesses that have earned the right to hold a Best Companies 3-Star accreditation. The survey is wholly anonymous, and we can’t influence the data that creates this score. Our people have achieved this for us and continue to be a driver of our culture and engagement across our Group.
“During our nine Best Companies surveys we have selected to be reviewed as part of the Sunday Times Top 100 List six times and are proud to have been successful every time. This cements the great things we do to support, engage, and develop our people, and what they give back to us to allow us to be a great place to work, so we can be a great and innovative company to deal with.
“We have never taken the happiness of our people for granted and continue to utilise the feedback from every survey to look for business and engagement improvements year on year.”
The business also wanted to give something back to the community in the process and pledged to donate to the Plant a Tree Today Foundation for every survey completed, raising a total of £1,500 to fund new beehives and plant more trees across the region.
Staff across the business were asked for their opinions in the independent Best Companies questionnaire focused on their manager and team, personal growth wellbeing, giving something back, leadership, the company as a whole and fair deal for employees, with the results showing they feel happy, engaged, and recognised for their efforts.
