SEND ESTATE REVIEW DRAWS ON TEAM’S EXPERTISE

Shared Agenda is supporting a South Yorkshire Local Authority with their plans to expand and diversify the Special Educational Needs and Disability Estate.

Our team initially supported the LA in summer 2019 with a feasibility study, which considered options for how the estate might be developed and specifically looked at how an existing building might be re-purposed into new SEND provision.

Following Cabinet approval to proceed, we have since been re-appointed to work alongside the LA and school representatives to provide a detailed design brief and scope of works for the subsequent projects.

This has involved using our significant SEND and project delivery expertise to ensure the project aligns with relevant national guidance on school premises, as well as meeting the specific needs of the pupils the school will serve.
The LA has praised our team’s commitment “to work to deliver best outcomes for local children…rather than just delivering on a task / output basis”.
