I&G build on health portfolio with trio of repeat clients

West Yorkshire based construction company I&G have further strengthened their acute health expertise after securing new contracts with three NHS Trusts across Yorkshire. The repeat business comes off the back of several successful years delivering acute and community health care projects to help improve facilities for patients across the region.

I&Gs work has involved the remodelling of hospital wards to help tackle increasing demand and the backlog many health providers are feeling off the back of the Covid pandemic, as well as new facilities and community health settings.

This next wave of work includes further remodelling, with a key focus on sustainability as the NHS drive towards their Net Zero Carbon targets by 2040. The health care estate in the UK is one of the largest single emitters of carbon dioxide in the UK, with day-to-day operations accounting for about 5.4% of the UK’s total emissions.
