Festive friends visit schools
Reindeer helped youngsters get into the Christmas spirit, with festive friends paying them a special visit at school.
Accompanied by their elf trainers, Ambrose and Disco visited Endike Academy, Kingswood Parks Primary School, Victoria Dock Primary School and Little Learners nursery in Hull, where we provide full facilities management packages, on December 8th.
The trainers spoke to the youngsters about the reindeer and told them all how they manage to stay warm in cold conditions, such as the North Pole.
Claire Davis, Foundation Stage Coordinator at Kingswood Parks Primary School, said: “The children were really excited to see the reindeer. It’s brought Christmas to life.
“The elves were fabulous. They shared so much information and talked to the children.
“Sewell bringing these reindeer to us was absolutely fabulous. Not all children get the opportunity to see these things. Sewell Facilities Management does lots of magical things at Christmas, but that was amazing.”
Five-year-old Charlie, who attends Kingswood Parks Primary School, said: “I was really excited to see the reindeer. They were really soft.”
Max, a year six pupil at Victoria Dock Primary School said: “It was fantastic to see reindeer in real life.”
Pupils and staff at Danesgate wore their best festive dress for a Christmas jumper day before breaking off for the holidays, while Sewell Facilities Management also donated the Christmas tree at the school.
Meanwhile, nativity performances were held in schools across the region, including children at St Oswald’s Church of England Primary School in York.
